Creating unique imagery has always been my goal. I aim to bring clients creative dreams to reality, from portfolio portraits to product photography. Using the most up to date digital imaging technology blended with creative knowledge and experience I can create your perfect image and freeze it in time.
I am willing to take on all projects and creative ideas from public and private functions through to album artwork and fashion shots. At the heart of my imagery is an unobtrusive documentary style of photography, being able to capture the perfect moment as it unfolds is the key to my work and allows me to capture images that my clients are truly happy with.

Working within the creative industry has been my main aim since I was seventeen, when with a few friends we started to build a sound system and began setting up club nights in the North East. This gave me a perfect testing ground to hone my skills as a photographer, videographer, editor and craftsman. Over the years this has become a steady income with me working in Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool at least once a month, acclimatising me to traveling with my equipment and pulling long late shifts. My freelance work has extended to privately to do functions, weddings, food photography, fashion and hairdressing. Whilst building an active portfolio and working I have also completed a BA specialising in photography to refine my technical skills, giving me a detailed knowledge of lighting, colour and image editing.
I have spent the last year completing my BA Honours degree in creative and digital media, specialising in photography. I spent most of my time in final year traveling India photographing people and places, eventually bringing the work together as a printed book. The book was a study into the lives of the people I met. I took an approach that allowed me to be accepted by the people I was photographing, letting me capture moments of their day. Through building close relationships with the subjects I was photographing I was able to get into situations to take photographs that would have been otherwise inaccessible. I spent three months in total traveling during my studies, this meant I had to discipline myself well and adhere to a strict timescale.
For the duration of the time I was studying in the UK I was working regularly up and down the country. I would spend up to four days on the road, taking photographs in nightclubs for SoulJam UK. Initially a Newcastle based initiative, I was capturing positive images to promote their business through web site and social media. This was successful and SoulJam has grown into a national promotional business I was responsible for photography and video at most of their events for the last three years. I was required to hit tight deadlines and regularly work in demanding situations whilst still gaining the desired results. Mixing work that involved so much traveling with university was challenging but it allowed me to develop a workflow that could handle multiple projects whilst still hitting deadlines. I have spent my career as a photographer honing my skills in storytelling, engaging an audience through documentary photography.
Although not formally trained as a journalist I have undertaken several self directed projects with a writer, shooting images that would fit the story. Appearing in the Huffington Post travel section, our article Holistic Healing in India looked at a small small healing and arts centre in Ravandur, India where we interviewed and photographed several people. Another example of my work was based around entrepreneurial young people in Newcastle Upon Tyne. photographing on location whilst the interview was being conducted allowed me to get shots that were natural and fitting with the content.
